Trijicon RMR mounting solution for H&K USP pistols. I designed this mounting solution and complementary slide cut in Fusion 360. The optic plate includes a dovetail for a rear sight. The height of the dovetail corresponds to off-the-shelf Dawson Precision suppressor height sights. 

The biggest design constraint for this product was the removal of any visible hardware when installed, as requested by the customer. 

A simple decorative project made for a gift exchange. Machining features include turned posts with an interference fit, key-holed mounting locations and undercut photo frame.

I improved the cycle time for this complex optic cut, bringing it down from 35 minutes to 5, while maintaining 0.002" tolerance. Automatic probing and tool break detection eliminates setup error and allows for unsupervised operation.

Time between runs was reduced to < 20s with the use of a Glock slide fixture with a repeatability of < 0.0001". Fixture, CAD and CAM by myself.
